Williams Creek has a strong tradition of sustainable ecological engineered solutions utilizing natural systems to improve water quality, while providing the opportunity for true integration of the built and natural environment. Williams Creek utilizes sound engineering techniques such as Best Management Practices and Low Impact Development techniques to help improve quality of life by increasing the beauty and appeal of our natural surroundings.

Stormwater Management
Utilizing “natural” BMPs in a treatment train approach, such as bioretention followed by vegetative biological swales, allow for stormwater to be managed at its source increasing the time of concentration and providing for considerable upfront development cost savings. The increase in time of concentration aids not only in water quality improvement, but also water quantity control by creating extended flood control measures. Examples of additional design techniques include wetland treatment systems and rain gardens incorporated into the existing or planned landscape features, open space, and green space.

Wastewater Management
There are a wide variety of versatile Ecological Treatment Systems design applications available to meet a Client’s on-site wastewater treatment needs. Ecological Treatment Systems are engineered, designed and constructed to utilize the natural processes involving wetland vegetation, soils, and the associated microbial activity. The natural processes and adaptability of Ecological Treatment Systems provides for an aesthetically pleasing, financially responsible result with potential for educational purposes and is environmentally sound.

Changes in land due to agricultural practices and urban and suburban development impact not only the activity site, but also the local watershed. Williams Creek recognizes watershed restoration and management as a community-based activity utilizing strong outreach and consensus building activities, in addition to objective data collection and analysis. Williams Creek relies on solid engineering solutions and people’s efforts to solve water quality and land use issues at the watershed level. Specialized services include funding assistance, erosion control and Best Management Practice inspection and monitoring services, Watershed Management Plan development and implementation, and Lake and River Enhancement services. Our talented Team sets Williams Creek apart by the ability to work with watershed stakeholders not just to identify issues and develop a Watershed Management Plan, but also provide ecologically engineered design solutions and guide the community in the implementation of the watershed improvement measures.

Many Offer Design; Few Offer Build Capability…

Due to the ability to provide specialty construction management services, Williams Creek can provide field-tested opinions of probable cost, as well as implement and maintain our natural system designs. Our construction management team and environmental scientists actively manage the construction of biological treatment and natural filtration systems, wetlands, woodlands, prairies, forests, bank stabilization, and stream relocation naturalization projects. Our construction management services ensure that projects are completed within budget limitations by only the most qualified personnel.
